Will It Blend?
as promised during our fourth episode, here is the link to the most fun and efficient blender available...at least, as far as my likings!!!
The Total
Blender from Blendtec is here featured
disintegrating anything available.
Obviously the goal is to demonstrate its efficiency,
I guess the point is:
If this blender does not have problems polverizing a
pound of golf balls, a broom stick, or even an
iPhone, well, it should not give you any sort of
trouble when you will attempt to make your Pesto
Sauce.
Epicurious Was Here!
and we just finished taping an Under The Tuscan Gun Special to be featured on Epicurious.com starting November 28th.
We cooked for you a
delicious beef stew, and we served it over polenta
with string beans sauted in cherry tomatoes as side
dish.
Since most likely the
segment featured on Epicurious won't be more than 3
or 4 minutes long, Gabriele and I decided to shoot
the same recipe again next week,
so to give you all "our side of the story"...
Come back then for our fifth episode, and you also
will find the downloadable pdf of the recipe.
Ciao
Debi
Fatherhood 2.0!
but still it was very energizing to come across the last issue of the Time magazine.
In the Life - Society section there is a very interesting article by Lisa Tackeuchi Cullen and Lev Grossman:
"Fatherhood 2.0. As dads have begun to act more like moms, old notions of masculinity have come into question."
Oh, if I do relate with all that!!!
Stay at Home Dads: Why Real Men Change Diapers.
When I arrived here is
the States I had no visa and no job.
Deb was working like cazy, shooting during the week
and flying to Canada over the weekends for some movie
she was on at the time.
I had about three weeks to get adjusted, then she got
pregnant!
We were very much in love, but still...it was a
"Knocked Up" situation!
WELCOME!!!
Before I met My husband, I always considered myself a "good cook”. I’d host an occasional holiday or dinner party, I’d prepare something 'special' for a guest, usually a recipe from a cookbook, that tortured me, but it came out good enough.

I am a professional dinner 'guest'...I’ve traveled
all over the world, and have sat at some impressive
tables: be it the home cooked dinner at a simple
Grandma's table in some corner of the world, to the
table's of friends, chefs, and fellow food
lovers...My palate "gets it"…and, I enjoy a good
presentation…yet when I cook, I always over spice,
and clutter up the dish, to the point that my meal is
sort of a flop, and it never comes out like the photo
in the recipe book!
