This is the ultimate Sunday appetizer. And why wouldn’t it be? It is made up of a spread of some of the best finger foods you would expect to find on any proper Italian table and could be seen enjoyed by families out and about or at home on any given Sunday in Italy. A cutting board or platter filled with local cheeses and cold cuts of your choice along with plenty of olives and unsalted Tuscan bread, one taste of this dish and I am right there back in Tuscany sitting down to dinner with the family.

 

INGREDIENTI

Prep Time: 10 mins/ Yields: 1 large platter

8 ounces bocconcini
Pinch red pepper flakes
½ pound thinly sliced prosciutto
½ pound thinly sliced speck
½ pound thinly sliced copa
½ pound thinly sliced bresaloa
2 cups nice olives
8 ounces hard pecorino
8 ounces Fontina, cubed
8 ounces Telaggio
8 ounces Grana Padana, cubed
2 cups fresh figs, sliced in half
Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Seasonal fruit, such as grapes, peaches, and apricots, to garnish
Honey
Breadstick, for serving

Decoratively arrange the remaining ingredients on a large platter.

Place bread sticks in a glass pointing upwards for serving.
